Hi all, I'm trying to make the Don Caballero discography more complete. If you have some weird records by the Don that aren't listed on the existing discog ( www.geocities.com/brikelly/doncab/discog/) then please post the details here or mail 'em to me. Bootlegs only count if they are on vinyl ;-) Also, if you have any pics of said rarities, please send them on too!

If you have Don Cab's 5 Touch & Go CDs and the Chunklet 7", then you have every song they ever officially released. Here are some more details for the discog, for the truly obsessed:
The "ANDANDAND" b/w "First Hits" single has some SCTV sound clips at the end of the songs that aren't on the "Singles Breaking Up" CD. This might be the case with some of the other early singles as well.
There is an "Our Caballero" CDEP on City Slang Records (efa 04922-03 CDEP). Songs: 1. Our Caballero 2. My Ten Year Old Lady Is Giving It Away 3. Unresolved Karma 3. First Hits
The Chunklet 7" is available with red or blue labels.
There is a "Don Caballero 2" promo CD (TG143-pr) with black & white artwork, band info, and a possibly erroneous tracklisting.
Don Cab contributes songs to the following compilations:
Caution! Hot Tips! CD on Dedicated Records, released 1993. Also features Hum, Tortoise, and others. "Puddin' In My Eye"
The Eagle Has Landed 2LP on Traquillity Base Records "ANDANDANDANDANDANDANDANDANDAND"
Sixty Second Compilation 7"EP on Coat-Tail Records (CT-003) Limited edition of 1000. "If You've Read Dr. Adder Then You Know What I Want"
1998 Touch and Go/Quarterstick Records Fall sampler with guest label Atavistic CD on Touch & Go (TGPR98CD) "Room Temperature Suite"
On The Cam: A 1999 European Compilation of Touch and Go & Quarterstick Bands CD on Touch & Go (TG205CD) "Room Temperature Suite"
2000 Touch and Go/Quarterstick Records Sampler CD on Touch & Go (TGPR00CD) "A Lot Of People Tell Me I Have A Fake British Accent"
I hope this helps, Brian! Zack

Got a question. Might sound dumb, but "Our Caballero" and "Belted Sweater" are both on For Respect and Singles Breaking Up! Are they the same versions on both albums?

Belted Sweater is different, but I think Our Caballero is the same (although I'm open to correction here - my copy of For Respect isn't available to me at the moment).

LOL - Steve Albini, in reference to my Don Cab web page, said: "And, like all fan sites and forums, I'm pretty sure it will be absolutely, minutely accurate and not speculative or weird in any way. " He also volunteered this info about the American Don sessions: "Ian played all the guitar on this record. He played one guitar layer live with the Eric and Damon (often this included loop layers under a performed part) and then added more layers as overdubs -- as many as six or seven additional guitar layers. We tried to find a way to make his playing more like the live setting, but Ian also wanted to experiment with an assortment of amps and variations on the overlaying parts, so he decided to do the layers independently. What is the name of the song on For Respect w/ the sample on it?! It's great! I know it's later on in the album. Maybe like the 6th or 7th one.
