I don't like having to step down with force onto the pedals on my Boss loop pedal. Now, it's my assumption that these things are made into pedals so a guitar player isn't forced to take a hand away from the guitar to hit a switch. My question is, why does it have to be a pedal? I don't get the whole idea of having to step down onto a pedal... why not just make it a simple switch? Which is what I want to do. Does anyone know if I could (fairly easily) crack open my pedal and modify the insides to be simple switches? I wouldn't be surprised if no modification was needed at all, and that I could just get rid of the pedal part and underneath (volia!), there's my switch. But I want to hear from someone who has actually taken one apart. Anyone?

from my use of boss gear, my advice is: dont fuck with it.
its made that way for a reason. you nede to try and find a new spring (if its one of the spring-based models)..
