so were any of les claypool's basses made by the guy that did this axe?
also, do you know what the switches and knobs are for (there's only one pickup..) ?

nope, to me knowledge scott french hasnt made any basses for les...
and i have no clue what all these knobs are for, especially with one pickup...

so were any of les claypool's basses made by the guy that did this axe? also, do you know what the switches and knobs are for (there's only one pickup..) ? I doubt it, I think Claypool's basses are all made by Brooklyn-based luthier Carl Thompson (well, at least one of his basses was made by him).

to my knowledge theres not an xlr out on it, but i wouldnt doubt it one bit.

The output looks like it might a 13pin output to connect to the Roland vg-88 the extra switches and knobs could also be for that as well.
