logos are rubbed off, no clue. i swear one of them looks like is a B8pro or something- the bronze color doesnt seem to match with the aax style, but i just dont know. they're all rides, so that narrows it down a bit. i'd like to know what his hi hats are, i've always liked the way those sounded. a band i played with the other night had the exact same ones, i could hear it, but i couldnt get a good look or find the drummer after they finished... sorry..

the past couple times i saw him play he was using the sabian B8 pros, same size like 20 or 22 inch rides for crashes, (although they did not SOUND identical) and i thought the ride was a zidjian, but it was a while ago and i can't remember. i never saw a logo on the hi-hat, though.

How do you think he'd react if I emailed him about it?
I've heard he can be less than polite sometimes.

Have you looked through all of the pics on brikelly's website? www.geocities.com/brikelly/doncab/pictures/index.htmlThe photos from the American Don sessions at Electrical Audio may help. If you have Damon's email address, go for it. It doesn't sound like he's too fond of passing out that kind of information though: www.halflifepunk.com/cont/contact.htmlBy the way, I've never had any bad experiences interacting with Damon or any of the members, past or present, of Don Cab.

The classic ride cymbal you hear on "What Burns", "American Don" and "Snowing Sun" is almost definitely a 20" B8Pro Power Rock Ride. The ridiculously overdone Sabian website has sound samples so you can hear it for yourself.
On the first Don Cretabourzia tour Damon played a Zildjian ride which, although pricier and better-made, just didn't sound as cool as the B8Pro.
In the photos from the "American Don" sessions, notice the warping on the top hihat -- Damon had those hats with him every time I've seen him play.

I'm pretty sure now the hats are of the 14" B8 pro rock variety (Just in case any of you were wondering). Although i could be wrong.
