Yeah, drugs are great. I've been on caffeine regularly since I was 6, didn't bother with anything else 'til discovering the weed at 17. Then of course a couple of years later there was the summer of acid, and other less fun episodes. Remember your first exp with ganja? I was out in die natur, smelling eucalyptus and ferns and decaying leaves, and my friend Ada just decides, 'we're smoking', so we do. She's like, "this is called orange mexican hair", we hit the pipe like three times and fucking wham! Scent and sight went bonkers with new and alternate sensations. Our voices became detached from our bodies and kinda wafted around. It felt like she was tickling my brain.. what a great day. Familiar environs + good company + mellow high = peace. Just add some sex and the world seems perfect. Not that any drug is necessary for such experiences, nothing could be less true. But it makes a difference, be it positive or negative. Drug experiences, anyone? Great stories, cautionary tales?

Sorry, not my thing. Alcohol and caffeine are the only chemicals I use regularly for pleasure :-(

Haven't you heard? Caffeine causes delirium - serious delirium. Word.

i don't see how people consider caffeine a drug like other drugs (alcohol, cannabis, lsd...). i know scientifically speaking it is, but has anyone ever gotten anything at all off it? i know i haven't and i drink quite a lot, but i really only do it cos it tastes good. it just never altered my mood or perception or anything like that. alcohol on the other hand, i just can't get enough. a few of my friends are going to amsterdam in a few weeks and i'm considering it as well. it wouldn't be the first time i was there, but i'm not into weed and stuff anymore. anyone got any suggestions?

Well, you know that a drug is anything that alters how your body functions. Caffeine can wake you up and get you energized, but in larger quantities can put you to sleep. Or kill you, if you somehow ingest huge quantities. Good luck in Amsterdam. The pot there is not just legal, it's tremendously potent (but I guess it varies, doesn't it), so if you try it out be cautious. Also, the beers on tap taste much better than our imported American versions.

I'll sample anything nonalcoholic. Having grown up around alcoholics, I guess it soured my opinion of that sainted of drugs. Though witnessing your elders crowded around a record player trying to sing along to Patsy Cline's "Crazy" is pretty amusing. I wish some folks who use drugs would grow up.

Yeah, when you start going to school full time, working part time, playing in bands, and have a girlfriend & a ton of friends all at the same time... there really isn't much room left for acid anymore.

Too much alcohol consumption and a few very memorable nights on pills but that's about all. Taking pills always seems to lead to a good memorable night actually. Maybe because i don't go to raves when i take them.

Though effects are known, I can't realize myself that coffeine is a drug....I mean.....i need my daily 2 liter-like coffee dose you see. I smoke (no more grass), and drink (way too much) : normal student life I guess ...

speaking of 'work on noise', I've gotten my hands on a 4 track. You know what this means. Someday relatively soon I can put my sounds online and you all can cut me down to size! Yeah! I'm sure... you're all... thrilled.. Well, I'm excited, anyway.

Does karma exist? I don't know. But: My lady and I went off to see the biggest trees in the world (Sequioa National Park, represent). Took 4 hours to get there. We started up the mountain; only 4000 feet up to see the Forest of Giants. Just another 2 hundred feet to climb, and we are swimming through intense fog; ice and black ice forced us back down lest we slip and slide over the brink. The next day, the fog was even more intense and it was raining: no giant trees for us. We came back home. Next day, sun breaks out and we head out to Muir woods. We hike, beautiful day, hurrah. Heading back to the car, passing an empty parking spot... and I notice a jar with some green matter within. Pick it up. It's not catnip. It's a half eighth of some potent cannabis. Just sitting there, waiting for us to discover it. We taste-test it very carefully. Good stuff, not laced. Score. The tides of existence are strange.
