anyone else excited/aroused/interested by zep reforming? not really sure what to think because i reckon they'll play it safe for set-lists, but i'll be delighted if i get to see them.

I'm a bit wary of the reunion. Please remember that Plant's voice had deteriorated significantly by the end of the '70s - and that was thirty years ago! I'm just not sure he's going to be able to hold up his end of the bargain.
I'd be a million times more excited if it were Dave Grohl on drums, as per the rumor from a couple years ago, but Jason Bonham is supposed to be great and is probably the next best thing.
As I type this I am listening to the album that Robert Plant made with Alison Krauss and guess what? It's really good! Plant's current singing voice suits this type of music much better than it does balls-out arena rock. Incredible harmonies. Imagine how much better Led Zep III could have been if Ms. Krauss had added her vocal harmonies and fiddle to it. Maybe it would have won a Grammy!

i read they have to tune down because plant cant sing that high anymore. i wish they would do this. i read that too on nme. apparently jimmy page is a bit "rusty" as well. as far as who's playing the drums goes, it's no big surprise that jason bonham is doing it and i'd choose him over dave grohl any day, purely because dave grohl irritates me.

Oh, What? They need more money or some shit? Why are so many older bands reforming nowadays?

apparently zeppelin were only getting together for one gig, a fundraiser for a scholarship thing set up by someone who signed to to elektra or something like that. now it's becoming a full tour so it probably is just a money-spinner. the cult are reforming and they'll be playing support. that one definitely sounds like they spent all the money.
