I'm going to say that google will be your best resource for this kind of thing, or a friend that knows stuff about computers should look at it for ya. That said, and having used google, it appears that a Creative Live Drive II is simply a front panel connector rather than an actual sound card. This site has a picture of a Soundblaster Live card next to a Live Drive front panel connector: www.itreviews.co.uk/hardware/h156a.htmThat's a PCI card, so it plugs into any available PCI slot in your computer, then the Live Drive is wired to that internally so that you can plug stuff into and out of the front of the computer rather than the back, and use a remote, etc. Once the PCI card is physically installed, then you'll need to download and install a driver for it from the manufacturer's web site to make it work fully. If you've tried a certain PCI slot and the pc doesn't boot as a result, maybe the card isn't fully seated in the slot, or you need to try a different slot. So maybe figure out what kind of sound card it is exactly, then you can probably find a manual or whatever on the manu's site or via google.
