All of the new album except tracks 6-9 and 12 Mmm Acting Palm Trees Nicked and Liqued DC3 -> Afro Pop Puddin' in my Eye
* Thax Douglas introduced the band with a poem called "Don Caballero #3".
* Damon's newest inscrutable eccentricity is the two teddy bears that sit in front of his drums.
* Gene sings "Celestial Dusty Groove".
* Jason plays a Les Paul on half the songs and a Schecter HellCat VI on the rest.
* Damon looked oddly listless behind Gene's guitar on "Punkgasm".
All in all it was a fine show - Damon was in a good, jokey mood - but I can't really get too excited about most of this new material, and I couldn't help but feel that I'd seen it all before, and that maybe this show was more for all the 18-year-olds in the audience than it was for me. Did anyone else see the kid who grabbed one of the teddy bears and tried to stagedive, except nobody caught him? Or the kid who freaked out because Damon gave him a stick? Christ, was *I* ever like that???

i saw them in saint paul the night after this show, first chance to see them in 10+ years of fan-ness. unfortunately the ruckus failed to scare the republicans out of town. it was really cool how they played afro pop and jason played the bassline on his guitar. i wasn't expecting to hear that. when they switched instruments they did a song in which damon screamed a lot...i did not recognize it from punkgasm, it didn't sound like any don cab tune i'm aware of. any idea what it might have been?

The song you are referring to is "Punkgasm" (last track on the new album). I noticed Damon was a bit more aggressive (vocally) live than he was on CD.
