well . it is always hard for me to post on an english forum... first my english is not really accurate and second most of time i cant find the right words to express my thoughts about music. one sentence : i just want you to hear this fucking album! and by the way , im sure somebody here know it ...! You ! answer me .. i feel alone and tell me that "recidivism" and "tropic of cancer" are some of your favorite songs , tell me that this guitar sound is just unbelievable . and tell me that the voice is ... blablabla merci , je vous aime !

I've never heard of this band but I found the sample posted above and was interested enough to do some googling. What I ended up finding was a used copy if it from Amazon for 49 cents. Plus shipping it would've run me $3, but I had $1.50 in HIT money from my stint with the Turk, so it'll only end up costing a buck and a half delivered. No real risk there. And thanks for the recommendation to milleplateaux! I like Mille Plateaux myself, too, lots of good artists there -- Gas, Vladislav, the Clicks & Cuts stuff, etc.

this band was from chapell hill (if my memory is still not out of order )
they released 2 albums : one is name " how the crow came to be black " the other one " idea of city ", and at their beginning they also recorded a 7" on hepcat which i think is a total rarity . a pure jewel.
i got the mp3 and you can download this from me on soulseek : " william Ayache "
yeah rocco ; a buck and a half . come on ;D
someone wrote this about cole : " One of the things I've always ewwed at is when people describe a band as being "slowcore." Yuck. And it seems like anything is fair game. Is it slow? Does it hint at being a little heavy? Then hey, someone's calling it slowcore. Yuck.
Just thought I'd open with that thought and add that if anyone uses that 'term' in the comment box, I'll cut off your ears.
At Cole's speed and demeanor, such a sin might be coaxed, but what I love about them is in the vocal style. Fans of Girls Against Boys' evil tone will dig the band, whether its members intended or not. The moves are moody and perhaps not for the upbeat, but I'm completely OK with filing this one among other mid-'90s North Carolina classics "
here it goes ans yes for my friend rocco , mille plateaux is a nice label . they just transcribed the soul of " gilles deleuze " on music , they do a real nice job.

So this CD showed up a couple of days ago. Pretty good! I'm enjoying it. Totally along the same lines as Rodan, June of 44, Slint, Dianogah, etc. Apparently the latest semi-incarnation of this band is called The Tall Ships. Thanks again for the recommendation, milleplateaux!

hello!
hey rocco ! glad to hear you enjoyed this album... unfortunately i dont know that much about rodan and dianogah but you are totally right for june of 44 and slint... its a little bit similar... it's all about making ambiance and specific atmosphere around the songs and of course a little bit of technic.
be seeing you ...
