"Guess he's pretty unfit these days." These days? Funny tidbit: When I first started playing with Damon, he could not make it through an entire song without stopping to catch his breath. I still have that image in my head.

Did he ever give any explanation for his completely ridiculous setup? Or why he uses tree trunks for drumsticks, or why he has what seems like a 2 foot gap in between his snare and hi-hats?
?!

I thought this was a discussion of Damon's fecal matter.
I heard he shits in 13/7.
Just sayin....

OK. Well this settles everything. I got June's issue of Modern Drummer and it had artist features for Zach and Damon, and of course they include everything they use so...
6/8/10" Remo Roto toms 13x11"/14x12"/16x16" toms 13x6.5" Ludwig Power piccolo (main snare) 14x5" snare (assuming its a steel snare) 22x16" bass drum
14" hi-hats Zildjian New Beat top/Sabian Rock bottom (although in the picture it has a Sabian AA top, just going to assume its either a regular or a rock-weight top-hat) 20" or 21" B8 Pro ride (guessing the medium weight) 20" or 21" B8 Pro ride (light-rock) 20" or 21" B8 Pro ride (power rock)
Pearl/Ludwig stands, Tama Iron Cobra pedals with Rhythm Tech vinyl beaters
Remo coated Emperor on snare, Emperor snare side (top medium high, bottom very high) Coated Emperors on toms, clear Ambassadors on bottoms (tops tuned medium low, bottoms high) Coated Emperor on bass drum batter, Evans black on front (batter head tuned medium-low, front tuned high)
Pro-Mark TXDC10Ws (played with butt ends, even though there is no tip...)
Well, thats that then. Thank you ModernDrummer for not interviewing shitty drummers, for once.

i'd guess late thirties. didn't he join half life in 1986 when he was still in school? so he was probably 16/17/18. but i don't know for sure, maybe he was a quick or slow learner, or got held back for bad behaviour and did every grade ten times.

looks like a standard pearl forum set... man, that second cymbal from the left is completely fucked.

Surprisingly the cymbal sounds great! I don't think it is a pearl forum. The bass drum is too small, only like 18 or 16 inch. Dalyzach's pictures are probably taken on the may 2006 tour. I don't see Damon's custom-made plywood board, where he plugs in his drumkit components. And... the november tour in Europe is with one guitarplayer (Gene?). These are pictures that a friend of mine took in Hasselt, nov 2nd. www.razziphoto.com/?p=362www.razziphoto.com/?p=359I have part of a broadcasted show that I will put online soon.

The Creta Bourzia bassplayer (I assume Gene) is the one guitarplayer on tour right now. Jeff is staying with his wife who's expecting a baby one of these days/weeks. Gene plays multiple guitar riffs using samplers and guitar loops. Some life versions are a bit different than the cd version – but not too much. Gene records his samples at the start of the song, plays over it to record another sample, sometimes up to 3 or 4 sample layers. In my opinion he’s doing an amazing job there.
