Thanks for the mp3s, swami! Great stuff! Gene holds down the fort remarkably well on his own. Great to hear early stuff like "Got an Inch" and "Puddin' in my Eye" again.
And the "Girl Gone Bad" drum fill as well.

As of last night's show in Lansing, Damon's playing the usual kit but with just one Rototom, and smaller rack toms than usual: 12" and 13" instead of 13" and 14". Definitely. No doubt about it.
Right hand crash is an Ed Shaughnessy Signature ride, which sounded pretty good. Didn't get a good look at the left hand crash but it had some heavy hammer marks, so it may very well be the HHX ride seen in the Myspace pics.

It's always weird to see Damon playing anything other than his black Pearl Exports -- here he is playing red Mapex kick and toms along with his usual snares and cymbals a few days ago in Nova Scotia: flickr.com/photos/paulrodeo/sets/72157602502042180/I guess they probably belonged to one of the other bands on the bill. What is he playing on the other dates on the current tour?

shop.relapse.com/content/news.aspx?NewsItemID=569Pro-Mark now endorses Damon Che. I guess that begins to explain the Pro-Mark sticker on the front of his bass drum. Good for both parties - drum stick company gives credit (as well as musician cred) to an indie rock drummer who has flown beneath the radar for far too long; indie rock drummer gets free drumsticks. And them DC10s ain't cheap!

In photos and YouTube videos from the current West Coast tour, Damon looks to be playing a Sonor kit with tube lugs. What gives? Did the Pearl Export kit finally give out? Discuss...

Last time I saw them his lugs were held together with duct tape, and they were just plain hosed. This was before WCLP was even out, I can't imagine that kit being in good enough playing condtion by now. Might just be a rental though.
